The Challenge

We have implemented many projects and provided support for an existing web application for the last 8 years for this client. During the latest project, an existing web application created using Cold Fusion/.NET needed updated to the latest technologies. When a new client was onboarded this included custom code which slowed down onboarding.

Solution

Created a responsive web application with the following features to streamline the process of onboarding and publishing reports:
  • Snowflake – Data Lake/Data Warehouse. A pure SQL Data Warehouse to handle all aspects of data and analytics
  • Matillion – Used to move data from Azure SQL to Snowflake and import from CSV as well as other data sources.
  • Azure App Service – The front end application is run as an Azure app service.
  • Power BI – All Reporting wascreated using PowerBI Desktop and embedded in the Web Application using Power BI Embed. Power BI embedded analytics allows you to embed your Power BI content such as reports, dashboards, and tiles, in a web application or in a website.
